Wassail by Trish Sluessar 1 gallon apple cider (I bought Tree Top at Walmart) 2 teaspoons whole cloves 2 teaspoons whole allspice 2 three inch cinnamon sticks 2/3 cup sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer, covered, for 20 minutes or longer. You can tie the spices up in cheesecloth if you want. Or just strain them out before serving.
